Over 2000 runners participated in the First Light Marathon that took place in downtown Mobile Sunday. A local runner named Cody Parker took the 1st position. Parker told that he would keep doing these and he would probably take part in a Boston marathon in a couple of years.
Parker took two hours and forty-nine minutes to end the 26.2 mile race before hundred others crossed the line. Apparently, it was better than he anticipated in his very first marathon. He actually wanted to run 2:55. Therefore, 2:49 whatever was really, really good. Continue reading »
